Thursday, December 27, 2012
Be sure to read these kind words left on behalf of our sales team. We greatly appreciate all of our customers at Toyota Carlsbad
"This is an excellent dealership. We were looking for a Camry in a particular color and were happy to see it listed in their online inventory. Duff Joy was very helpful on the phone -- he got back to us with a great price within ten minutes or so, and when we arrived at the dealership a bit later, he already had the car out front so that we could take it for a test drive. Once we'd confirmed that we were happy with the car, Duff moved the process along very quickly, which we really appreciated. Duff and his colleagues got us out of there, with the car, within 1 - 1 1/2 hour. Very impressive."

Toyota Named One of the World’s Top 100 Innovators
Toyota Motor Corporation has been named by Thomson Reuters to its list of the “2012 Top 100 Global Innovators.” The list is based on four principle criteria: overall patent volume, patent grant success rate, global reach of the portfolio and patent influence as evidenced by citations.
“Innovation is the foundation for economic prosperity and technological advancement,” said David Brown, managing director of Thomson Reuters IP Solutions. The research firm added that “these organizations outperformed the S&P 500 by three percent in their market cap weighted revenue (15 percent versus 12 percent). This year’s winners also added 124,214 new jobs over their prior year employment figures.”

The 2013 Car and Driver 10Best awards list and FR-S commentary will be featured in the January issue, on newsstands now and online at www.caranddriver.com/features/2013-10best-cars-feature-2013-scion-fr-s-subaru...>
Scion FR-S Wins First-Ever AutoGuide.com Car of the Year Award

“We are honored that AutoGuide.com selected the FR-S as its first Car of the Year recipient and recognized the unmatched driving experience,” said Scion Vice President Doug Murtha. “The FR-S showcases the fun we want Scion drivers to have each and every time they get behind the wheel.”
The FR-S comes equipped with either a six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic transmission with Dynamic Rev Management technology. Hey fans! Check out this wonderful review!
"I change my previous opinion on toyota of Carlsbad. The sales manager Gus called me and told me to come down and discuss my options. So I went. I was met at the door by a gentleman named Henry. AMAZING. from the get go he was polite, professional, and funny. Then I met with gus. He listened to my concerns, helped me decide what would be best for my situation. I fell in love with the Prius. Gus did everything possible to get me in this new car. AND he did it without it costing me any extra. Henry was very informative and kept me company while waiting for finance. Aaron in finance was equally great. I was In and out if there in 2 hours. We will be going back after tax season to get my husband a truck. I will recommend EVERYONE to toyota of Carlsbad. Thank you again Gus, Henry, Omar Saab, and Aaron!!! Very satisfied customer!!!"
Hey fans! Be sure to check out this outstanding review!

The Scion FR-S earned recognition today from Car and Driver, the world's largest automotive publication, as part of its “10Best” cars of 2013. The magazine highlights the best cars for under $80,000 available on showroom floors in January 2013. Scion introduced the FR-S earlier this year to positive industry reviews and consumer excitement. The FR-S shares its spot on the list with the Subaru BRZ. “Making the Car and Driver 10Best list in its first year is another example of the energy and enthusiasm building around the FR-S and the fun driving experience it offers,” said Scion Vice President Doug Murtha. “The success of the FR-S reflects the Scion mission to give drivers vehicles that fit their lifestyles and express their individuality.” The FR-S features a lightweight design and 2.0-liter flat boxer engine capable of producing an impressive 200 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. Affordability and performance have made the FR-S a fast favorite since it arrived in U.S. showrooms in June.

Driver Distraction Study from The University Of Michigan Transportation Research Institute and Toyota Shows Significant Correlation Between Parent and Teen Distractions:
Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. (TMS), today announced preliminary findings from a major, national study of teen drivers (ages 16 to 18) and parents of teen drivers conducted jointly with the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI). The Study shows a significant correlation between parent and teen behaviors behind the wheel, suggesting parents can play an influential role in modeling risky behavior on the road. The UMTRI/Toyota Teen Driver Distraction Study, the largest scientific survey of its kind, also found that texting while driving remains commonplace among teens, despite ongoing, nationwide efforts to educate drivers on the significant risks associated with these behaviors. The UMTRI/Toyota Study is based on national telephone surveys of more than 5,500 young drivers and parents. The survey includes interviews with 400 pairs of teens and parents from the same household (dyads). This is a unique factor that allows researchers to analyze closely how driving behaviors among parents and teens within the same family unit relate to each other. In addition to a national sample, the study includes local surveys in Chicago; Philadelphia, Pa.; Houston, Texas; Long Island, N.Y.; Los Angeles and Washington, DC. Commenting on the connection noted in the study between parent and teen driving behavior, Dr. Tina Sayer, CSRC Principal Engineer and teen safe driving expert, said: “Driver education begins the day a child’s car seat is turned around to face front. As the Study shows, the actions parents take and, by extension, the expectations they set for young drivers each day are powerful factors in encouraging safe behavior behind the wheel. Seat belts and good defensive driving skills are critical. However, the one piece of advice I would give to parents to help them keep newly licensed drivers safe on the road it is to always be the driver you want your teen to be.” Nationally, motor vehicle crashes remain the leading cause of death for U.S. teens and, in 2010, seven teens between the ages 16 and 19 died every day on average from motor vehicle injuries, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.[1] The Study, sponsored by Toyota’s Collaborative Safety Research Center (CSRC), was designed to shed new light on frequently discussed driving risks and to identify effective recommendations to help keep teens safe and help parents serve as more effective driving role models. The Study also looked at a range of risk factors that receive less public attention but pose great risks on the road as well as the role parents and peers play in encouraging distracted driving behaviors. Today’s announcement represents only a portion of the study’s preliminary findings. UMTRI and Toyota’s CSRC continue to analyze, compare, and contrast the data and will publish additional findings incrementally over the next few months. Key Findings from the UMTRI/Toyota Teen Driver Distraction Study
The sample of teens and parents from the same households (the dyad sample) showed a strong correlation between driving behaviors and attitudes within families. In general, parents who engage in distracting behaviors more frequently have teens who engage in distracting behaviors more frequently. Other findings from the dyad sample include:
Key findings from the larger, national sample of more than 5,500 respondents include:
Driver Education Begins When the Car Seat Starts Facing Forward
“Children look to their parents for a model of what is acceptable. Parents should know that every time they get behind the wheel with their child in the car they are providing a visible example that their child is likely to follow,” said Dr. Ray Bingham, Research Professor at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute and Head of the Young Driver Behavior and Injury Prevention Group. “By examining the willingness of U.S. parents and teens to engage in high-risk driving behaviors, this study will inform programs that help reduce distracted driving and the non-fatal injuries and death that it causes.” Toyota complements this research with extensive safety education programs for young drivers and their parents as well as direct outreach to consumers, including:
Sitting down with teens to draft a Safe Driving Contract can help jumpstart this dialogue. This contract is a mutual agreement that outlines a parent’s expectations for a teen’s driving behaviors and the consequences when those expectations are not met. Parents can find a sample agreement at www.toyotateendriver.com.

Toyota Yaris Offered in Two Liftback Models For 2013!
The fun, efficient Toyota Yaris, which was all-new for the 2012 model year, continues into 2013 in three-door or five-door liftback models. Sporty styling, outstanding safety features and high fuel economy ratings make the 2012 Yaris a compelling choice in its segment. New for 2013, all model grades come with the Tech Audio Package as standard. “There is a lot of excitement in the subcompact category today, but the 2013 Toyota Yaris is at the top of the list when it comes to combining value and fuel efficiency with style and fun,” said Toyota Division Group Vice President and General Manager Bill Fay. “Today’s young, price-conscious shoppers want the complete package that the new Yaris offers: room for their friends and gear, along with a strong list of standard convenience and safety features.” From its smart interior design and quiet, refined passenger cabin to its responsive driving dynamics, the 2013 Yaris delivers an optimal combination of the traits shoppers’ demand in a smaller, fuel-efficient car today. The 2013 Yaris features remarkable attention to detail in the design and engineering. The Tech Audio Package equips the Yaris with the most in-demand music features, including an AM/FM/CD head unit, six speakers, a USB port with iPod® connectivity, and SiriusXM Satellite Radio compatibility, Bluetooth® wireless technology provides hands-free phone capability, music streaming and phonebook access, and automatic sound leveling adjusts for outside noise. The system plays MP3/WMA CDs, and provides MP3 sound enhancement. An auxiliary input jack enables connecting other types of digital music players. Liftbacks for Today’s Lifestyles
Today, liftback body styles dominate the subcompact vehicle segment, preferred by 70 percent of new retail car buyers in this category. The Yaris Liftback features a sporty look. The 98.8-inch wheelbase yields a smooth ride and roomy interior, while an overall length of 153.5 inches helps make the Yaris highly maneuverable in tight situations. Compared to the previous-generation Yaris, the current model offers up to 68 percent more cargo room along with additional headroom and passenger volume, all within a highly aerodynamic body yielding a 0.30 coefficient of drag. The 2013 Yaris is equally at home navigating through city traffic, heading to the mall or hitting the highway for a road trip. With a tight turning circle and quick, responsive steering, the new Yaris proves nimble on crowded streets and parks easily in tight spaces. Grade Strategy
The 2013 Yaris is offered in three grades, with the entry-level L and value-packaged LE editions available either as a three-door liftback or five-door liftback. The sport-tuned SE is available only as a five-door. A high standard equipment level across all grades and simplified options make it easier for customers to find the car they want at an affordable price. Emphasis on Driving and Performance
The 2013 Yaris was designed for fun and functionality. All models are powered by a 1.5-liter, 16-valve, four-cylinder DOHC engine equipped with variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i), producing 106 hp at 6,000 rpm and 103 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,200 rpm. The broad torque curve provides plenty of response for both manual transmission and automatic transmission vehicles. All Yaris L, LE and SE models are available with a four-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission, featuring a compact, lightweight design and reduced friction for greater fuel efficiency. A smooth-shifting five-speed manual transmission is available on L and SE models only. Both the front MacPherson-strut and rear torsion-beam suspension is tuned to deliver a smooth ride and engaging driving feel. Electric power steering provides good road feel at highway speeds while aiding low-speed parking maneuvers. The Yaris L and LE versions come with 15-inch wheels as standard, while the SE moves up to 16-inch alloy wheels. Nine Standard Airbags Lead Impressive List of Safety Features
The 2013 Yaris offers an impressive array of safety features. Standard driver and front-passenger dual-stage airbags (SRS) are complemented by front-seat mounted side airbags and a knee airbag for the driver. Roll-sensing side airbags are fitted to both front- and rear-row seats for a total of nine airbags. An impact-absorbing body structure utilizes high-tensile strength steel to effectively distribute collision forces. In common with all Toyota vehicles, the Yaris features Toyota’s Star Safety System™, which includes Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist. The new Yaris also features Smart Stop Technology, Toyota’s brake-override system, as standard. This recent -generation Yaris’ are equipped with Toyota’s Advanced Whiplash Injury-Lessening (WIL) front-seat structure helps to ensure that the region from the head to the lower back are equally supported, helping to reduce whiplash-type injuries during certain types of rear end collisions. Comprehensive List of Standard Features
In addition to its many safety features, all Yaris models are well equipped with popular comfort, convenience and technology features. Starting with the Yaris L, all models include standard electric power steering, power-assisted ventilated front disc brakes, power door locks and a Cold Weather Package. Other standard features include air conditioning, six cup and bottle holders, and storage cover for the cargo area. Halogen headlamps and intermittent front windshield wiper are also standard. The single-windshield wiper with wet-arm system reduces weight and provides better performance than the traditional two-arm type. The system sprays washer fluid
from the base of the wiper arm directly in the path of the blade for improved cleaning and wiping action. All 2013 Yaris is now standard equipped with Tech Audio on all grades (formerly only standard on LE and SE grades). Tech Audio includes AM/FM CD player with MP3/WMA playback capability and MP3 sound enhancement, six speakers, SiriusXM Satellite Radio compatible (additional hardware and subscription required), HD Radio™, auxiliary audio jack, USB port with iPod® connectivity, auto sound leveling, hands-free phone capability, phone book access, and music streaming via Bluetooth® wireless technology and iPod® interface. The Yaris LE includes standard power windows with driver’s auto-down, power mirrors, cruise control, steering wheel audio controls, and a remote keyless entry system with engine immobilizer. Exterior Styling
The bold and assertive presence of the Yaris design is visible from all angles, starting with the distinctive protruding front profile with wide headlamps and integrated turn signals. The profile displays a steeply sloped beltline, and flowing curves that appear to stretch the image of the vehicle. The shoulder lines continue around to the rear, creating a sharp, solid look. Unusual for a car in this segment, eight exterior colors are available for the 2013 Yaris, including Super White, Classic Silver Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Black Sand Pearl, Absolutely Red, Lagoon Blue Mica, Wave Line Pearl and Blazing Blue Pearl. Interior Design
The Yaris interior provides a level of detail not often seen on cars in this price class. The doors close with a smooth, solid feel. Additional sound-absorbing and insulating materials make for a quieter ride. Upgraded fabrics and a soft-touch dash highlight a more premium, sporty interior. The front seats are now wider, and sculpted to help reduce fatigue on long trips. The driver experience is enhanced with a three-spoke tilt steering wheel, featuring a thick grip and a flat-bottom shape to reduce knee interference. The instrument cluster located in front of the driver and includes a multi-instrument display with odometer, twin trip meters, clock, outside temperature reading, fuel economy display, average speed and Eco-Driving indicator. Yaris L models feature a one-piece folding rear seat, while LE and SE editions include a 60/40 split fold-down rear seat. Compared to the previous Yaris liftback, the luggage compartment area has been lengthened by 5.7 inches, and widened by 2.1 inches, to increase cargo volume by 64 percent in the 3-door and 68 percent in the 5-door. Cargo capacity with the seat up is 15.3 cu. ft. on the 3-door and 15.6 cu. ft. on the 5-door. The Sport-Tuned Yaris SE
The Yaris SE provides more driving fun with its sport-tuned suspension, quicker ratio steering, standout styling and driver-oriented interior. The SE features both front and rear disc brakes, with the front disc nearly an inch larger in diameter than L and LE versions. The SE is equipped with P195/50R16 tires and alloy wheels. The SE makes a distinctive statement with smoke-trim multi-reflector halogen headlamps, integrated fog lamps and color-keyed grille with sport mesh insert. It features color-keyed front and rear underbody spoilers, rear spoiler and rear diffuser, set off by a chromed exhaust tip and SE badge. Inside, the driver faces a sporty instrumentation package, with an analog speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, and digital Multi-Instrument Display. The leather-trimmed tilt three-spoke steering wheel includes audio controls and standard cruise control. Exclusive sport seats help add shoulder-level support for more comfort and control. The Yaris SE also includes a six-way adjustable driver’s seat and four-way adjustable passenger seat with sport fabric trim. Toyota Quality, Warranty and Care
Toyota’s 36-month/36,000 mile basic new-car warranty applies to all components other than normal wear and maintenance items. Additional 60-month warranties cover the powertrain for 60,000 miles and against corrosion with no mileage limitation. The all-new Toyota Yaris will also come standard with Toyota Care, a complimentary plan covering normal factory-scheduled maintenance and 24-hour roadside assistance for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Toyota Reports Strong Second Quarter and First Half Sales, Revenues and Net Income
Toyota announced strong first half fiscal year results today with sales increasing by nearly 1.4 million units, revenues up 36 percent and net income rising to $6.9 billion. The numbers represent a significant turnaround from a year ago when the company suffered production setbacks due to a major earthquake/tsunami in Japan on March 11, 2011. Key financial numbers from the first half (April 1, 2012 – September 30, 2012):
--Global sales increased to 4.516 million units, up 1.49 million from the same period last year
--Consolidated revenues were 10.9 trillion yen (*$138 billion), a 36.1 percent increase in yen
--Operating income was 693.7billion yen ($8.7 billion) vs. a loss of 32 billion yen last year
--and Net income of 548.2 billion yen ($6.9 Billion) vs. 81.5 billion yen last year The positive first half results came on top of a strong second quarter for the automaker. Toyota reported second quarter revenues of 5.4 trillion yen (*$68.4 billion), up 18.2 percent in yen and operating income of 340 billion yen ($4.3 billion) vs. 75.4 million yen last year. Net income soared 220 percent to 257.9 billion yen ($3.2 billion) “In all regions, vehicle sales increased significantly for both the first half and second quarter of this fiscal year because we suffered from the supply disruption due to the Great East Japan Earthquake in the same period last year,” said TMC Executive Vice President Satoshi Ozawa. “Despite the yen’s appreciation, operating income improved significantly due to the recovery of sales which dropped in the first half of last year and our company-wide profit improvement activities.” Toyota also revised its forecast for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2013. The company lowered it expected consolidated vehicle sales by 50,000 units to 8.75 million due to uncertainty over the market environments in China and Europe. However, it boosted operating income by 50 billion yen to 1.050 trillion yen because of expected progress in its profit improvement activities. Financial forecasts for the fiscal year have been revised as follows:

Thank you for this review! Great job, team!
"My husband and I have been casually looking for a new car. We have been to several dealerships and were getting frustrated with the pushy sales people. My husband initialy stopped by Toyota Carlsbad just to look and was greeted by Lisa. She was very friendly and helpful. Most of all, she wasn't pushy. Lisa listened to exactly what he said we were looking to do (trade in for a Camry and knew our price range), and she pointed him in the right direction. After he found a few cars, I met him at the dealership and the sale began. Lisa was so helpful in explaining the price and terms. We then went to Nicki in the Finance Department to seal the deal. She was so friendly and helpful.. Nicki took the time to explain all the different options we could add and answered all of our questions when we were confused. We left very excited about the new car. We loved the experience so much, we went back three days later and traded in our other car for another Camry. We worked with Lisa again and then Lou in finance. Again, the experience was nothing less than fantastic. We have been and will continue to refer our friends and family to Lisa at Toyota Carlsbad."

Thank you for this fabulous review! Happy Monday!
"My family and I bought a 2012 Camry in October 2012 and the experience was more pleasant than we thought. We were greeted within minutes of arriving. Martin (make sure you ask for him or his assistant, Arianna) was very professional throughout his sales pitch. Never pushy or bossy, I had all my questions answered in a way that didn't make me feel like an idiot. I got a reasonable value for my trade-in and they were generous enough to bring my three different colors of Camry's. Would definetly recommend them to my friends and family that are in the market for a Toyota."

Toyota is Among the Top 10 ‘Best Global Brands’ for 2012! Way to go, Toyota!
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Toyota once again ranked the highest of automotive brands and No. 10 among all brands on Interbrand’s 2012 Best Global Brands list. Topping the 13th annual 100 Best Global Brands report was Coca-Cola, followed by Apple, IBM, Google and Microsoft.
In the automotive sector, Toyota was followed by Mercedes Benz (#11), BMW (#12) and Honda (#21). Interbrands stated in their report that automotive brands are becoming more attuned to the emotional connection consumers have with their cars.
Interbrand creates the ranking by examining a brand’s financial performance, the role the brand plays in influencing consumer choice, and strength the brand has to command a premium price or secure earnings for the company.

"I was at Toyota Carlsbad today and test drove a Prius, I got a no pressure vibe from salesmen Ernan Northrup which was wonderful if I do decide to return for the Prius I will definitely purchase it from Ernan.
First time at the dealership and let me tell you, wow! My sales person was Henry Gonzales and he was nothing but professional, knows the product and made us feel like we were human beings and not just a walking bank! He listen to what we wanted and need it. Will go back again for sure!!"

5-Star Review on Google + Local:
"Brought my '99 truck there because the heating system wasn't working and there was a leak in the engine compartment. Also, after 216000 miles, the driver's side valve cover was seeping oil pretty badly. Was met by someone who took my information and introduced me to Keziah. She wrote it up, told me about how long it would take, and was thorough, efficient and very nice. I was surprised that the valve cover leak was easier to repair then the heating issue. Due to an issue with a fitting becoming brittle and snapping off the intake manifold, I almost had to buy a new one (they showed me the part). However, they were able to chip it out avoiding that cost! Cost was reasonable and 500 miles later, working great!! Will definitely go back!"

Toyota's Ultimate Fishing Tundra Build Underway for SEMA:
Bassmaster Elite Series pro angler Britt Myers knows a thing or two about bass fishing. And as a well-known builder of custom Toyota Tundras for his fellow anglers, he had an idea or two for a singular Tundra with everything an Elite Series pro could imagine—plus a little more. The result is the "Ultimate Fishing Tundra," which makes its public debut at Toyota's display booth at the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas on October 30. Knowing that two heads, or in this case five, are usually better than one, Myers also solicited ideas from the Toyota Tundra Pro Angler team of Kevin VanDam, Terry "Big Show" Scroggins, Mike Iaconelli and Gerald "G-Man" Swindle, an accomplished group of anglers who also know a thing or two about fishing rigs. Myers, who owns North Carolina-based CS Motorsports, then turned his team loose on a 2012 Tundra CrewMax. Toyota's brawniest full-size pickup has towing and payload capacities that make short work of hauling a pro bass fishing boat and gear, so Myers turned the lion's share of his attention on enhancing the bass fisherman's life. Says Myers, "it will have a bed-area tackle storage system that looks like a Bass Pro Shop aisle. It'll have tackle, reels, rods and even a refrigerator." For an extra-handy touch, Myers and his team are making all the gear in the bed easily accessible by utilizing an automatic, motorized delivery system. Looking to enhance comfort and entertainment, the CS Motorsports crew replaced the rear bench with bucket seats and custom-built a fiberglass console that stretches from the dash to the rear cab wall and includes built-in video monitors and subwoofers. Both front doors receive custom panels that will house extra speakers and video monitors to play fishing videos and display Navionics lake-mapping options. Outside, the beefy Tundra gets a TRD Big Brake Kit and a 12-inch suspension lift—a little extra insurance against muddy bogs and steep lakeshore boat launches. A custom roof rack with special LED lighting and fishing rod storage will also be installed, along with a specially-designed grille to set off the styling of this unique rig. Leaving no lake un-fished, Myers' team couldn't resist adding a TRD supercharger and exhaust system. The extra power and torque will be appreciated for the likely extra load from a successful day of fishing. This unique Tundra will be on display at the 2012 SEMA Show alongside several other custom Toyota vehicles, including those from the Toyota Racing Dream Build Challenge (www.ToyotaRacingDreamBuild.com). The four Dream Build cars and trucks are being individually created by four of Toyota's top racing drivers: Kyle Busch and Clint Bowyer from NASCAR, plus Antron Brown and Alexis DeJoria from NHRA. Voting for the winner of the Toyota Racing Dream Build Challenge will open on Oct. 20 and will continue through Oct. 29. The final vehicle builds will be unveiled—and the winning driver and charity announced—during Toyota’s press conference at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas on Oct. 30.

Way to go Jessica! Keep us the great work!
"Jessica Morales was very pacient and helpful in initial training my mother to the new Prius C, making her feel that she can handle the car. My mother felt very satisfied with her service since she is almost 80 years old and her english is limited.
Jessica handled professionally the transation process with me, the car was clean and the color required by my Mom. She answered promptly my questions afterward when I called regarding the operation of the Prius C. Great experience !!!"

The standard four-wheel disc brakes use large ventilated rotors – 13.9 inches and 1.26-inches thick – with four-piston calipers in front; and 13.6 x 0.71-inch with two-piston calipers in the rear. Anti-lock brakes (ABS) include Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD).
Tundra Grade is equipped with standard 18-inch styled steel wheels with P255/70 R18 tires. Limited Grade models get standard 18-inch five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels with wider P275/65 R18 tires and offer optional 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with P275/55 R20 tires.
An optional TRD Off-Road Package combines off-road tuned suspension featuring Bilstein® gas-charged mono-tube shock absorbers, P275/65 R18 BFGoodrich® off-road tires on 18-inch alloy wheels, plus fog lamps, fuel tank skid plates and TRD Off-Road graphics.
The available TRD Rock Warrior Special Edition package combines a tough off-road look with rugged off-road capability. Available only as a 4x4, the truck includes Bilstein shock absorbers and 17-inch TRD Rock Warrior forged alloy wheels with LT285/70 R17 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO tires. The package is available in Black, Radiant Red, Magnetic Gray Metallic or Super White exterior colors.
On Tundra Grade, TRD Rock Warrior features a color-keyed front bumper and grille surround with matte black rear bumper. The Rock Warrior Tundra is also equipped with fog lamps, privacy glass, and front bucket seats with eight-way adjustable driver’s seat, four-way adjustable front passenger seat and black fabric-trimmed seating surfaces, plus an auto-dimming rearview mirror with integrated backup camera display, compass, and HomeLink® universal transceiver.
The Tundra Regular Cab offers generous behind-the-seat storage, and the Double Cab features front-hinged rear doors that open up to 80 degrees. Double Cab models provide a roomy rear seat with a 22-degree backrest angle and 34.7 inches of rear legroom. The Tundra CrewMax has limo-like maximum rear legroom of 44.5 inches, plus a reclining and sliding rear seat. A 10-inch slide range allows the owner to tailor both passenger comfort and room for onboard cargo. CrewMax models have additional storage under the rear seat.
A concealed compartment to the right of the shift lever can hold a Thomas® guidebook. The built-in toolbox behind the rear seat in all models provides clean, accessible storage for the jack, handle and lug wrench.
In Double Cab models, the rear-seat cushions flip up with an easy one hand operation to provide additional storage space. In CrewMax models, the rear seat backs fold in an easy one-hand operation to provide a flat storage area.
